Artwork Changes

Hello Volunteers!
Welcome back to the new school year! Our first month started out well, we had 19 lessons in August! That is amazing! I am looking forward to another great year with the Art Masterpiece Program!
This year I will be adding a few new lessons and updating any that need to be fixed. Please let me know if any of the links aren't working or if you notice any other issues with the lessons.

My main goal for this year is to make Artwork slideshows for each Artist. This will keep the links from changing, so they should always be accessible to you. As well as give us more control as to what the students view in class. I have been careful when choosing the Artwork links but from time to time these sites can change. We haven't had any accidental inappropriate viewings in classrooms but I have been contacted by volunteers or teachers a few times over the past couple years about sites that have put up an inappropriate picture. With slideshows of artwork containing only images that we have chosen we will no longer have to worry about that issue.

Most of the Kindergarten slideshows are already completed. And I have put up slideshows for any requested September lessons up to this point. I will be working on slideshows as the lessons are requested. Please check the Artwork before you go into your lesson because it may not be the original link that you saw when you choose the lesson. If a slideshow isn't working or you would like to request a specific piece of Artwork to be in the slideshow please let me know.

Thank you for everything that you do for our students, it is greatly appreciated!

How The Art Masterpiece Program Works

Hello Volunteers, I have had quite a few emails over the summer as to how the program works and don't want people to feel intimidated when making the decision to volunteer. It is a wonderful program that was written by the previous coordinator and we would like to keep it going as much as possible but need the help of our wonderful parents to do so. The program works by having a volunteer (typically a parent in their own child's classroom) go in once a month (or as often as the teacher and parent agree) and teach a short lesson followed by a coordinating art project. The lessons are all written based around what is currently being taught in cottage and must be followed as these lessons go with the curriculum. ALL supplies as well as the lessons being taught, are supplied. As a volunteer you coordinate with your child's teacher to choose the appropriate lesson, let us know as soon as possible so we can add you to the calendar and get the supplies delivered to the classr...
